(Story of) Free Software Foundation In A Nutshell

I’ve been given the opportunity to run a presentation at my office, about the Free Software Foundation.

I did create a few slides to accompany my speech, and in the attempt to write the speech I ended up creating a few pages document where I summarize all my knowledge about the FSF, Richard Stallman and the GNU/Linux operating system (the informations are NOT complete, but are correct).

These documents are also intended for a non-technical audience, with no requirement of previous knowledge about Free Software, Open Source, GNU or Linux.

The aim is to introduce the subject of Free Software to the unaware public, and invite them to dig and search more about the topics that they may find more interesting.

This documents are released under the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.3.
You are invited to use these documents to run your own presentation of the Free Software to schools, companies, university circle of friends.

You are also invited to create other documents or submit modifications and corrections to the current version. Just email me or leave a comment on this page.

Please contact me if you would like to receive a PDF or ODT version of the documents.
